Beginner Archery Classes

Winneconne Youth Archery offers a 6 week beginner archery class at various times throughout the year taught by certified archery instructors. Typically we do not recommend starting classes until age 6, however this may vary based on physical ability and emotional maturity.  All equipment for the classes is provided.

Archers in our beginner classes will be taught the 11 Steps to Archery Success, then will be given the opportunity to practice these skills with both individual/group coaching and by playing games. The dates and times of these classes varies depending on range and instructor availability.

Students in our classes will use a Mathews Genesis bow. These are available as right or left hand in a full size with draw weights on 10-20 lbs, and a mini with a draw weight of 5-12 lbs. The draw length is universal and can be shot by anyone. There is no cost to any of our classes, however they usually fill very quickly. Be sure to register as a member for the earliest notification of upcoming classes!
